The Together North Jersey Project Team has prepared Baseline Assessment Topic Reports for each of the core elements and topics to be addressed in the Regional Plan for Sustainable Development (RPSD). The purpose of these topic reports is to inform the development of the Regional Plan for Sustainable Development and ensure a thorough and enduring product. Each Topic Report includes a discussion of existing conditions, patterns and trends, assets, and resources relevant to the topic under study. Each report also examines the current planning and policy context relevant to implementation as well as assesses the condition of infrastructure relevant to the subject topic.
Finally, each topic report makes recommendations regarding potentially relevant performance metrics that can be used to measure progress toward achieving sustainability goals relevant to the subject topic. This includes an assessment of the availability of data sources, the accuracy of analytical methods used to measure and monitor selected metrics, and the timeliness and cost of tracking specific metrics to measure progress toward achieving desired long-term outcomes.
