Please join the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) on November 2nd for a conversation about our region’s future as we launch a regional conversation on Plan 2045: Connecting North Jersey, our next long-range transportation plan.
- Mitchell Silver, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation
- James W. Hughes, Dean of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning & Public Policy at Rutgers University.
- Jon Carnegie, Project Director for Together North Jersey
The event will also feature a panel discussion on four themes that will link Plan 2045 with the work of the Together North Jersey planning initiative. These themes focus on how our region can be:
Together North Jersey is a coalition of municipalities, counties, educational institutions, businesses and non-profits that developed the first sustainable development plan for northern and central New Jersey. The NJTPA must update its long-range transportation plan every four years so that the region can receive federal transportation funding. The plan looks out to 2045, providing a vision for our 13-county region.
We invite you to come learn about the trends in our region, ask questions and offer ideas. Coffee and refreshments will be served and the event will include an opportunity for networking.
